Handmade in Hamburg: Sleek Protection for the MacBook Pro 16

The handcrafted Merino wool felt sleeve Hampshire is now tailor-made for Apple’s new flagship laptop.

Hamburg, December 2019 – Pack & Smooch produces the Hampshire MacBook sleeve in its own workshop, using a proprietary wool felt blend and naturally tanned leather. Nothing here is off the shelf: each sleeve is custom-sized for every MacBook model. That ensures a precise, snug fit that offers optimal protection while allowing for easy handling. Hampshire is now available for the new MacBook Pro 16. Versions for older models and iPads are also available – a perfect holiday gift for Apple lovers.

Timeless Everyday Companion

Pack & Smooch developed a special Merino wool felt blend to meet its quality and sustainability standards. “We value longevity and natural materials,” explains Managing Director Matthias Burkert. “Standard options didn't meet our needs. Our German-made wool felt is extra dense, soft, and highly durable.” The material also helps protect devices thermally – an added benefit during colder months that can extend battery life.

Vegetable-tanned leather trim adds both visual contrast and structural stability. The premium leather comes from a traditional Italian tannery that is a member of the “Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana” consortium.

Sleek magnetic closures reinforce the minimalist design. Located on the outer pocket, they never come into contact with the device. This slim front pocket also provides space for small accessories like a smartphone.

Hampshire comes in two classic colorways: light grey felt with light brown leather or anthracite with dark brown leather.

The MacBook Pro 16 version is available now in the Pack & Smooch online shop at a recommended retail price of €74.90 incl. VAT. Sleeves for older MacBook models and iPads are also available.
